Founded in 1927, the RSPA is the global leader in tennis-teacher certification and professional development. With more than 15,000 members worldwide and 17 divisions nationwide, the Association’s mission is to raise the standards of tennis-teaching professionals and coaches and to promote a greater awareness of the sport.
The evolution of our brand from the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) to the Racquet Sports Professionals Association (RSPA) represents an important shift toward embracing the full spectrum of racquet sports. However, it’s critical to emphasize that tennis will always remain at the core of who we are. Our legacy, nearly 100 years strong, is deeply rooted in tennis, and our commitment to supporting tennis professionals remains unwavering. The rebranding was not about stepping away from tennis but about broadening our focus to meet the evolving needs of our members and the industry.
As the world of racquet sports grows to include sports like pickleball, padel, and squash, we see the need to support professionals in these disciplines as well. Many of our members are diversifying their skills, seeking certifications, and pursuing careers in other racquet sports. By expanding our offerings, we ensure that RSPA is the leading resource for professionals across the entire racquet sports industry. Still, tennis remains at the heart of our association, and we are dedicated to continuing the tradition of excellence in tennis that we’ve upheld for nearly a century.
This brand evolution was necessary to stay relevant in an industry that is constantly changing, but it’s essential to recognize that tennis will always be central to everything we do. We are here to help our members, whether they are fully focused on tennis or looking to branch out into other racquet sports, succeed and grow in their careers. Our commitment to tennis professionals, their development, and the sport itself is stronger than ever, even as we embrace this new, evolved identity.
The RSPA is recognized as one of the most important global racquet organizations in the world and its partnerships reflect the high level and expectation, they have for working with the very best and most educated groups in the industry. We are proud to call them a partner and to work in collaboration with their team to improve and enhance the game of indoor tennis with the very best conditions available in the market today.
