Facility Case Study - Glenbrook Paddle Club
Sports Interiors is proud to showcase the transformation following the installation of our LED Lighting System at the Glenbrook Paddle Club.
Following the success of both our Lighting & Liner System at the Glenbrook Racquet Club , our team was tasked with installing our light fixtures into the newly created paddle facility. Our team’s ability to provide a detailed project plan with milestones and a completion date that met with the club’s plans for opening and court usage was a primary factor in why Sports Interiors was chosen to complete this work. We laid out a progressive project plan based on the club’s desires and we were able to offer regular on-site visits, progress updates, and phone meetings with the key project stakeholders to ensure all questions and concerns were being addressed.
We began the project by managing the rebate process and meeting on-site with the local energy representative to complete a pre-project inspection and ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation was filed so work could begin. Once everything was set, our team began work by removing the old lighting system and utilizing existing conduit and piping to allow us to move more efficiently through the installation. All old light fixtures were safely removed and recycled and new fixtures were installed following a thorough analysis and review of the entire building to ensure maximum light levels and an even distribution of light across each of the clubs courts. In addition to improving light levels and lowering energy costs, the club also requested for us to improve the light quality for the staff when working behind the scenes in the building’s storage areas. Because of this request, we installed additional fixtures throughout the space to allow for everyone to benefit from our LED Lighting System.
The Glenbrook Club decided that for their pickleball courts they would like the fixtures to hang directly rather than our typical indirect orientation. We have now worked with multiple pickleball facilities and we have seen both our direct and indirect lighting applied with each offering dramatically improving light levels. After completing a detailed survey of the building, and discussing the options with the Glenbrook team, we decided to go with the direct fixture installation for this project because of the type of ceiling the structure has, the decision by the club to not go with a new reflective liner system at this time, and the size of the space requiring improved light level readings. Each project managed by Sports Interiors incorporates its own challenges and we consider all varying types of information and structural details specific to each project in order to deliver the best possible results. Once the project was completed, our team removed all equipment and excess material and handed the facility back to the staff and its members for full play.
The response and feedback to our lighting system has been fantastic and light levels have increased by an average of 129% across the entire facility. The team at the Glenbrook Paddle Club were great to work with and provided support and feedback as progress was made.
